Real cases
Practical judgement
Better preparedness
Peer-led procedural troubleshooting and crisis management for interventional cardiology professionals.

Interventional cardiology is built on apprenticeship and clinical experience.
Â
But some of the most serious situations an operator will encounter are unpredictable

These situations may be encountered infrequently, yet require rapid recognition, technical knowledge, leadership and coordinated team action.

Cath Talks exists to make this learning deliberate rather than accidental.
Crisis
Prepare before the emergency happens. Structured rehearsal of rare but high-consequence cath-lab complications and emergencies.
Debrief
Develop the operator and the team. Explore leadership, communication, decision-making, situational awareness and human factors alongside technical management.
Cases
Learn from real procedures. Interactive cases explore decisions, difficulties, complications, alternative strategies and what could be done differently next time.
Skills
Practise procedural troubleshooting. Focused learning around practical problems that may not receive structured teaching during conventional training.
Cath Talks does not aim to replicate the excellent established programmes covering CTO, CHIP, calcium, left main or other specialist techniques.
Instead, we focus on:
• What happens when the procedure becomes difficult?
• What happens when the expected plan stops working?
• What happens when the operator needs to lead a team through a crisis?
The curriculum is built around practical preparedness rather than procedural prestige.

Our Vision
Interventional cardiologists who are technically capable, cognitively prepared and able to lead effectively when procedures become difficult or patients deteriorate.
Our Mission
To provide structured, peer-led practical education in procedural troubleshooting, complication management, crisis preparedness and leadership within the cardiac catheter laboratory.
